➤ When and where is the program held?
Moda Network Academy takes place in New York City from Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 15, 2025. Daily sessions will be held at a meeting space in either Manhattan or Brooklyn, which will serve as our program HQ. The exact address will be shared with registered attendees prior to the start of the program.
➤ Who is eligible to apply?
The program is open to incoming and current college students who will be 18 years or older by the start of the program. Students from any college or major are welcome to apply. All attendees must have health insurance.
➤ Is there an application fee?
No—there is no fee to apply to Moda Network Academy.
➤ How much is tuition and what does it include?
For Summer 2025, tuition is $750 as part of our pilot program launch. This one-time rate includes all workshops and field trips, daily lunch, and a 7-day unlimited OMNY subway/bus transit card.
➤ Do you offer housing or room and board?
Students are responsible for securing their own accommodations, as housing is not included in the program.
➤ How many students are accepted?
Enrollment is limited to 16 students for this pilot program to ensure a personalized experience.
➤ Will I need to bring a laptop or tablet?
We recommend bringing a laptop or tablet to participate in in-class activities, however it’s not required, and we’ll make sure all students can participate, with or without a device.
➤ What happens after I apply?
Once your application is submitted, our admissions team will carefully review it. If selected, you’ll be notified via email with next steps and payment instructions to secure your spot.
➤ Can international students apply?
Absolutely! As long as you meet the eligibility requirements and can make arrangements to be in NYC for the week-long program, you’re welcome to apply.
➤ Will you offer more programs in the future?
Moda Network Academy is launching as a pilot in August 2025. We hope to expand based on interest! Fill out the Contact form to stay informed about future sessions.
➤ Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! As a program built on connections, we’re pleased to offer a $150 tuition discount for students who are referred by a fashion industry professional within our network.
➤ Who runs the program?
Moda Network Academy is led by co-founders Melissa Moylan and Filip Lazaroski, recognized industry leaders with over 20 years of experience. They’ll be hands-on throughout the week to guide daily programming, conduct workshops, mentor students, and lead guest speaker visits and field trips. The staff-to-student ratio is approximately 8:1.
➤ How many guest speakers will there be?
Moda Network Academy will feature a minimum of five guest speakers throughout the week. These professionals represent a range of expertise, all within the business of fashion. Their insights will be explored further during in-class sessions, allowing students to engage more deeply with each topic.
➤ When will the full schedule be confirmed?
Our finalized schedule, including guest speakers and field trips, will be shared two weeks prior to the program start.
➤ Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Students who complete the full program will receive a Certificate of Completion from Moda Network Academy—a great addition to your resume or LinkedIn profile.

➤ What if I need to cancel after being accepted?
We understand that plans change. While tuition is non-refundable, we may consider partial refunds on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us as early as possible to discuss options.
